PTM 871 Automotive Communications Controller Product Announcement April 20, 2009
PTM Electronics announces a full featured communications controller providing isolated automotive communications ports for PC based systems. Offered with a USB interface and Windows support for J2534 the PTM 871 Communications controller connects a PC to most common automotive protocols. Supported interfaces include: ISO 11898 CAN (high speed dual wire), J2411 CAN (Single wire) Fault tolerant CAN (ISO118983), J1850 VPW, ISO9141 K Line, LIN, and J2740 UART. Software supports GMLAN and KW2000 protocols. CAN software provides enhanced message filtering including: the ability to block or pass messages on data anywhere in the CAN frame. CAN software may be configured to return message frames on changed data and automatic message repeat is standard.
