PTM 540 Universal Test Controller

The PTM 540 product line supports cost effective general purpose automotive electronic module testing and verification. Designed to serve as audit, engineering and field service testers, they are fulfilling these roles, and serving as assembly line final test stations, life test, and design validation testers.  The 540 may be applied to different products or to different models of the same product family.  This versatility maximizes usage and lowers the overall cost of testing.  Year-end change-over is often greatly simplified and less costly.

Utilizing a PC based design with a familiar WindowsTM Interface, the 540 database driven test executive software provides test definition, sequencing, parameters, limits, relay closures, analog I/O, digital I/O and Vehicle Communications messages to operate and validate the electronic module under test. 

The PC base provides Visual Basic and Access database tools to quickly develop a wide variety of test scenarios.  The 540 may be customized for specific products facilitating change by PTM and our customers. 

A cable designed for use with the device under test such as an Instrument Panel Cluster is all that is required to turn this tester into an Instrument Panel Test Control System.  Additional load simulators provide HVAC, ABS, HUD, Body Computer, and Power Control Unit Test facilities.

Security to protect proprietary customer sensitive information is available.

 The PTM 540 is currently used to conduct testing of approximately 120 different electronic control unit families.  Each family may have dozens of configurations.
