Develop a programmable accurate electronic simulation for the majority of climate control motors used in automotive HVAC systems to replace the successful HVAC simulator which currently supports the testing of 25 families of HVAC control heads. The Solution: PTM applied its expertise in motor simulation to design a programmable motor simulator which accurately follows the complete operating profile for many families of .1 to 1.8 amp DC motors including motor dynamics, back emf and commutator pulses. This new PTM product is capable of simulating most HVAC electronic environments. Hardware: One to eight motor simulators are packaged with 6 resistive relay coil loads, 24 resistive sensor simulators for temperature, sun load, and other sensor input, 6 resistive blower loads, and 8 potentiometer simulators. Software: The Electronic HVAC simulator together with the PTM 540 provides the software control and database driven test sequencing and parameters to operate the test system. |
